Object Description
Feathered cap band; the upper section orange ground with 3 pairs of yellow bars. Below is an edge of brilliant blue feathers. Foundation cloth plainweave cotton. One weft edge cut and overcast. At three corners heading cords extend as knotted ties. Each feather's quill bent over one yarn which knots and secures it before moving to the next yarn. A second yarn knots further down the quill. These strings with feathers attached are stitched to foundation cloth with a third yarn.SEE REMARKS FOR CONTINUATION OF DESCRIPTION
