Object Description
Tunic fragment of interlocked tapestry. Design: two columns with motifs of split faces, animal and bird heads, and plants (corn?). Weft joins are single interlock between warps and dovetailing around a single warp. Two warp, one weft selvage. Warp selvages have remains of seam, magenta and yellow camelid. One warp selvage chained (on same side as narrow column), other has cut warp ends woven back into the fabric. ddWarp: brown and white mixed cotton, (2s-plied); brown camelid, (2s-plied), 13.4 epcm. Weft: gold, tan, white, dark red, pink, pale pink, black, 36 epcm.
