Object Description
Child's shield or toy with reddish brown and white design. The paint is heavily applied to intricate carved design. A loop of rafia fiber is tied through the top hole. A handle is carved into the back of the shield.

Shield, carved wood, elongated oval shape, tapered at one end, carved curvilinear designs on front, designs encrusted with red, white, and black pigments, handle on back, several small round perforations at tapered end, fiber threaded through one perforation
