Object Description
Band almost completely covered by supplementary weft float patterning. Design: alternating rectangles of pink with yellow birds, and yellow with pink birds. Pattern wefts (camelid, 2s-plied) used paired three-span floats in alternating alignment. Ground weft (dark brown camelid, 2s-plied) shows as a stripe along each weft selvage and as outline in pattern section. Stitches along each weft edge indicate that the band was originally seamed to other cloths. Two weft selvages. Warp: tan cotton, (2s-plied).
