Object Description
Mantle(?); sheer 1-1 plainweave white cotton w/8 large frontal figures w/Chimu-style headdresses done w/supplementary weft floats in red, yellow, ochre camelid (z-2s). 9-span floats in alternating alignment; separately woven weft figures: yellow, ochre, red, overlapped and stitched along side selvages. Multiple tassels decorate corners. Narrow bands of supplementary weft border warp ends: ochre ground w/yellow, red profile birds in row. Four selvages. Warp, weft: white cotton, (z), 15, 12 epcm.
