Object Description
Tunic; two separately woven strips of slit tapestry seamed together; diagonal design of stepped lines, interlocked meanders. Colors paired: magenta/pink, blue/purple, gold/brown. At top, bottom, band of anthropomorphic waves of heads with headdresses, long ornaments, white outlined with black on red ground. Along warp selvages, bands of purple, yellow, blue, brown weft-faced plainewave. Neck opening: slit in center of one panel; armhole indicated by lack of stitches at center of one weft selvage. Four selvages. Warp: white cotton, (z-2s), (s-2z). Weft: camelid, (z-2s).
