Object Description
3 Fragments of band of coarse plain weave cream colored cotton with brocade design: Band: 1-1 white cotton plainweave. At one end, repeats of double-bird(?) motif in dark green, red, gold, dark brown camelid, separated by guilloche bands in same colors. Designs discontinuous supplementary wefts, in floats of varying lengths. Other end plainweave w/widely spaced butterfly(?) motifs. Remains of blue cotton fringe, woven on three warps(?) stitched along sides. At one corner of decorated end, white cotton tassel. 1 warp, 2 weft selvages. Warp, weft: (z-2s), 13 epcm.; 9 epcm.
