Object Description Brocade fragment - cotton with bird motif in yellow and rose-red wool: Textile portion of 2-1 plainweave dark brown cotton; two profile birds, holding trophy heads in beaks, done in discontinuous supplementary wefts of pink (s-2z) and yellow (z-2s) camelid, white cotton (z-2s). The 9-span floats alternate alignment. Warp: dark brown cotton, (s-pairs), 20 ppcm. Weft: dark brown cotton, (s), 15 epcm.
