Object Description
Large band - warp striped warp patterned weave with two opposed bird motif; rose wool & light & dark blue cotton warp with brown cotton wef; finished with large rose wool tassels with embroidered ballso in yellow and black wool: Band of warp-faced plainweave red camelid (z-2s) on edges, with central section of warp-float weave depicting paired birds separated by stepped frets done with white and blue cotton (z-2s). Three-span floats, paired, alternate alignment. Attached at each end is a tassel comprised of a ball (5 cm., diameter) covered with embroidered(?) "waves" in yellow camelid, brown cotton; below, long red camelid fringes.
