Object Description
Shoulder poncho - plain weave brown cotton embroidered in green, blue, red, yellow wool in stylized bird-design; badly disintegrated because of position on body Shoulder poncho(?) (esclavina) of 1-1 plainweave brown cotton with border depicting goatsucker(?) birds stem stitched embroidered in red, gold, olive wool on dark brown wool ground. Neck opening and selvages are finished with cross-knit looping in an "s" motif. Warp: brown cotton, (z-2s), 17 epcm. Weft: brown cotton, (z-2s), 17 epcm.
