Object Description Stepped corner of a larger tan cotton plainweave cloth, decorated with checkerboard design of small birds woven with supplementary weft-float dark brown camelid (z-2s). Alternate rows face left, then right; alternate blocks have white birds on dark brown ground, then brown birds on white ground. Fabric reversible. Ground: tan cotton (warp: s, 20 epcm.; weft: z-2s, 18 epcm.). Floats 5 span, alternate. One warp selvage.
