Object Description
Brown cotton 1-1 plainweave (warp: z-2s, 18 epcm.; weft: z-2s, 10 epcm.) with slit tapestry border. Upper edge of border has stepped blocks of tapestry opposing stepped blocks of plainweave. Below is a row of birds(?), slit tapestry, with outlining on paired warps. Ground pale yellow camelid, birds magenta, blue, purple camelid, and dark brown and beige cotton (z-2s, 28 epcm.) Birds flanked by narrow bands of scrolls woven in complementary weft float weave of brown and tan cotton. Across the bottom is a finely woven tab fringe of yellow camelid.
