Object Description
Slit tapestry w/dovetailing at intervals stepped corner (2 warp, 1 weft selvage) sewn to white cotton plainweave. Corner has blocks, alternating tan & beige camelid, w/profile bird w/elaborate head plume: magenta, tan, beige, white camelid, & white cotton. Dark brown cotton outlining. Bottom edge has row of interlocked wave bands in same colors. Edge turned, hemmed w/running stitch of blue cotton (z-2s); stepblocks have warp selvages; Weft: (z-2s) 40 epcm. Warp: (z-2s), 10 epcm.
