Object Description
Textile - fragment of Kelim tapestry band with 2 & portion of 3d frog-like creatures; cotton warp & wool weft; rose-red background with figures in yellow, maroon, tan, blue-gray & pink: Fragment of slit tapestry band with 3 spotted animals, frontal view with legs and tail extended; done in dark red, pink, ochre, yellow camelid on cherry red camelid ground. Warp heading has one replied cotton yarn. Dovetailing wefts, broken across each edge, indicate the piece was jointed to other pieces originally. One warp selvage. Warp: white cotton, (z-2s), 7 epcm. Weft: camelid, (z-2s), 48 epcm.
