Object Description
Border; slit tapestry with 5 repeats of a large bird in center. At ends small paired birds, separated by Horizontal stripes of weft-faced plainweave; magenta, gold, yellow, black,brown camelid (z-2s, 40 epcm.), brown, white cotton (s-2z). Along one side a double weft fringe of red camelid loosely woven on spaced brown cotton warps (s-2z). Originally stitched to a 1-1 plainweave of natural cotton (s). Tassels at corners. Two weft selvages. Warp: white cotton, (s-2z), 7 epcm.
