Object Description
Woolen belt of tubular weave; brown and white with center stripe with geometric design: Belt; warp-faced plainweave brown camelid (z-2s, 30 epcm.) with tubular weft of same camelid (z-2s, 5 epcm.). Down center, stripe of complementary warp-patterned weave in brown and white camelid. Design: elongated diamonds filled with small diamonds, ending in scrolls forming symmetrical motifs between diamonds. Weft single layer in center stripe. At one end, section (13 cm., length) 1-1 plainweave, single layer, completing weaving. Warp heading cords extend as ties, now torn.
