Object Description
Woolen belt - tubular weave; dark brown and cream with center stripe with geometric design: Belt; warp-faced plainweave brown camelid (z-2s, 24 epcm.) w/tubular weft of lighter brown camelid (z-2s, 5.5 epcm.). Down center, stripe (2.5 cm., width), complementary warp pattern brown, white camelid. Design: elongated diamonds filled w/small diamonds, ending in scrolls forming symmetrical motifs between diamonds. Weft single layer in center stripe. Atone end, section of plainweave (17 cm., length), single layer completes weave. 2 round braids attached each end, become one.
