Object Description
Band, cut into pieces and fashioned into a hat by mdern Peruvians; double cloth; stylixed face design; blackl; light brown and cream colored wool: Cap made from pieces of a band (4 cm., width) of warp-faced doubleweave. Design: spots and curls in dark brown and white camelid (z-2s) appeart to imitate leopard skin. Band edged in tan camelid. Two pieces of band seamed together lengthwise, encircle head. Tucks taken in corners for "points", two additional pieces stitched on for top. Weft: tubular, tan camelid, (z-2s).
