Descriptions
Object Description
Oval-shaped mat(?)of totora reeds, center section balanced plainweave. AT each end, three countered rows of twining, rows spaced (3 cm.) apart. Cut warp ends are plaited back into warp at top and bottom. Reed diameter about (1.5 cm.), making this a heavy, coarse-woven piece. Top and bottom edges curved.
