Object Description
Corner; 1-1 plainweave brown cotton (warp, weft: z-2s, 16 epcm., 14 epcm.) At bottom, border of slit tapestry woven on paired warps: 3 rows of "rays", magenta, green, blue, on yellow ground. Across lower edge, yellow tab fringe. Along one side, separately woven tapestry strip (4.3 cm., width), w/border, tab fringe matching main cloth; strip extends along plainweave cotton sections, here larger birds in red, green, white, spaced on yellow ground. One warp, one weft selvage.
