Descriptions
Object Description Warp-faced cotton band of three color (natural white, beige, brown) complementary warp weave with three-span floats. Design: diagonal bnds of interlocked snake heads, with one eye instead of two. A separately woven strip of white cotton plainweave stitched along one side. Wefts were extended beyond warps to turn around a scaffold warp which was later removed, leaving weft loops which were plied to form fringe. 101 x 4 cm. (length x width; fringe)
