Object Description
Textile: two warp-faced plainweave cloths, each (35 cm.), seamed together with overlap (3 cm.) to form cloth. Design: stripes of natural beige/brown cotton alternating w/stripes of indigo-dyed cotton. Series of narrow stripes alternate with wide blue stripes. In blue stripes, supplementary white warps floated on one face, then other, and deflected to outline rows of diamonds. Near top and bottom several shots of plied yellow camelid enclose groups of 6 warps, form weft-faced band. Beyond this, warp loops twist on themselves as short fringe. Wad of red-brown cotton between overlapping layers.
