Object Description
Watercolor of a male Mountain Sheep dancer in profile. Dancer wears elaborate multi-colored headdress with ram horns, pine boughs and feathers, a necklace with coral and turquoise beads, pine bough arm bands, white top, and black skirt with red and green trim. Sash has white extended straps. Also wears white mesh leggings and predominately black moccasins. Has dance sticks in each hand. Background is abstract design in natural browns with steps in right background. Signed by the artist in lower right corner. Written on back "Mountain sheep dancer (big horn), Santa Clara Pueblo".
