Object Description
Painting of man and tree. Polychrome on black background depicting a man in a loincloth, facing away from the viewer; there is a blanket over his left proper shoulder and a single eagle feather in his hair; upraised right proper hand. The man faces upward toward the sun. The sun is animated with two eyes peeking above the billows of three clouds which obscure three quarters of it; rays point upwards, lines indicating rain extend directly downward, a single lightning bolt extends diagonally across the lines of the rain. To the man's right a yellow four-tiered platform, rendered as a collage form, extends to the right of the composition. A pine tree, its boughs indicated in green, yellow, lavender and red reaches the level of the cloud; directly above the level of the sun, is [see Object Description text entry for extended description]
