Object Description
One-half of a wedding blanket or hanging for wedding bed; narrow strips of cloth stitched together; two weft; striped in panels in black, white, brick red and gold. Other panels contain weft strips, tapestry, embroidery and supplementary weft designs of diamonds in same colors. Weft loop tassels flank two of the design strips. Panels are sewn together with whip stitch. Warp ends are cut and left as warp fringe. Warp is ikat cotton. Wefts are mainly wool. Hanging strips sewn onto edges.
