Object Description
Two strips of 1-1 plainweave, one brown (two warp, one weft selvage), other cotton colored with reddish pigment (two warp, two weft selvages); warp, weft (2s-plied). Between these, strip of blue and white warps alternate two-by-two, woven in checkerboard design with white on blue, blue on white, alternate with blockes with birds and crabs; blue weft. In blue squres, white yarns float on back; in white squares both woven as single layer. Panels whip-stitched together along weft selvages. Evidence of sewing (additional panels) along one side, one end.
