Object Description
Border; yellow ground, two-headed, two-footed animals in green, blue, gray, red, one yellow eye in each head; eyes, bodies outlined in red or dark brown-black; border above and below animals with brown rounded shapes outlined and connected by white, on red ground. Weft selvages complete; remanants of balanced plainweave along one warp edge; warp selvaged along tabs. Fringe: yellow tapestry tabs, (1.5" x 1.3 "(six pairs of warp ends)); Evidence of sewing along one weft selvage, thread remnants, holes. Work rough in sections, warp showing through; both sides finished. 32 warps/in.
