Object Description
Border; stepped diagonal pattern (paired snake heads with eyes?) in various shades of yellow, pink, red, purple, brown, with stepped diagonals and eyes(?) outlined in dark brown; above, below, border of pink and dark pinkish-red weft stripes, with stepped, squared frets in dark brown and yellow, tapestry tab fringe (1.5" x 1/3" (6 warp ends)). Warp: 2-ply yarns, used double for tabs. Edges: part of weft selvages preserved; warp edge of tabs selvaged, with some tabs connected through warp loops by double 2-ply yarns (same as warp); fourth edge badly torn; would appear that edge of border
