Object Description
Border of weft-faced slit tapestry with tabbed fringe; composed of two pieces (7x17 in.) seamed along weft selvages with brown yarn; pattern does not quite match; one piece woven finer than other. Dark brown and tan; slit diagonal stepped design with triangle-headed animals (snakes?); stepped fret border above and below, with weft stripes; back not finished; fringe has slit stepped diagonal design in two shades of tan on brown. Weft edges not preserved (except along seam); warp selvages along fringe finished; at top cut warp ends woven back into fabric. Very poor condition.
