Object Description
Textile corner decoration cut from larger cloth: doubleweave of two browns and white cotton (2s-plied). Stepped right angle divided into rows of squares (3.5 x 2.5 cm.). Dark brown square alternates with square depicting an animal, bird, or man, in dark brown on light brown or white ground. At warp selvages, stepped fret border, and along weft selvage, strip of dark and light blue cotton (2s-plied). Impossible to determine how this corner was joined to cloth (scaffolded?). One warp, one weft selvage.
