Indigenous Term "Gba Glü."
Object Description Wooden face mask with decorative headdress. The mask is vaguely oval shaped with a pronounced chin and a domed protruding forehead. The facial features include a snub, triangular-shaped nose and small, semi-circular ears. The crescent-shaped eye slits are carved through the mask. There is a white swallowtail design painted around the eyes and across the face. An ornamental headdress of plant fiber, textile and cowry shells is attached to the top of the mask. The textile also encircles the mask. Glass bead earrings are inserted in the ears and metal teeth in the mouth.
