Object Description
Wooden facemask with rounded headdress. Mask is oval shaped with a pointed chin and a slightly protruding forehead. The facial features include almond-shaped eyes, an oval, protruding mouth, a triangular nose, and double-lobed ears. There is a raised X-shaped pattern probably representing scarification criss-crossing the face in between the eyes. A headdress composed of plaited plant fibers, textile and cordage is attached to the top of the mask. A decorative braid extends from the center of the headdress.
