Object Description
Uruk Fugitive Red - Slipped Ware - red-slipped flat-shouldered jar. Exterior, matt, fugitive red slip applied after firing. Core, grey at center with buff edges indicating rapid firing at moderate temperature. Interior, smoothed, reddish buff, fine striated lines suggesting wheel. No visible temper. Body sherd from flat horizontal shoulder which turns up for neck and down for side with a straplike lug (broken). Th: 9 mm. Straplike lug parallel to side. Vertical perforated nose lug.
