Descriptions
Object Description Uruk red-slipped ware - red-slipped globular collared jar. Exterior, red pigment added to the surtface just before firing, matt finish. Encircled by a band of parallel, short incised strokes with a pointed tool on a slightly raised ridge. Core, light grey-buff center with reddish surfaces, some very short chaff (1-2mm. long), some white limestone(?) inclusions, flat air spaces. Interior, matt buff. Body sherd, shoulder piece with vertical collar and perforated nose lug. Probably handmade. Th: 8 mm.
