Descriptions
Object Description Uruk Plum-Slipped Ware - plum-slipped globular jar. Exterior, red to plum slip with some burnishing strokes. Slip applied before firing. Core, soft, buff, with some gas vacuoles and some white limestone (?) inclusions. Interior, matt, light buff. Body sherd turning up for collar (slip passed over top and down inside to this turn-up line). Generally light and porous. Th: 4 mm. cf. S18a 97.
