Written on board: "New Mexico. (Chaco Cañon) / My first skeleton; Taken before it was touched as it lay at left of skull; The amulet which was found with the bones is shown; At the right of the boots which are Professor Putnam's, you can see the bones of legs sticking up in vertical position as found. / Gift of A.M. Tozzer - 1921."
