N.W. of Van Horn on Univ. of Texas land, (leased by Vivian McAdoo of Sierra Blanca) near Culberson County line. Sandal made of yucca leaves woven in wickerwork technique. Due to the shape of the heel end this is frequently called a fish tail sandal. / Photo 1/2 actual size. / Gift of J.E. Pearce, Chairman of Department of Anthropology, University of Texas."
