Written on painting: "Zy-you-wah. E. A. Burbank. Keams Canon. Ariz."; written on board (verso): "Gift of Frederick A. Delano of Chicago. June 1899. Original painting by Elbridge Ayer Burbank. 35 Zy-you-wah (Moqui [Baby]) In ceremony costume. The markings on head dress represents rainbow and rain clouds, and different flowers that grow in the Moqui country."
