Object Description
professional narrated film about the animals that inhabit the rainforest in Borneo. First half of film contains footage of diverse array of animals in their natural habitat with some explanation of their life. Excellent close up footage, narration is simplistic, unscientific, romantic and idealistic tone. Second half focuses on the orangutan, their daily lives and human threats to their survival. Harrissons who made the film adopted young orphaned orangutans, raised them in captivity in Borneo and brought them to zoos in Europe. bw, sound, 28 min.
