Written on board: Oaxaca, Zapotec. Cat. No. C/3036 / Masculine Personage attired as a Male "Companion" with the Glyph "C" in the Headdress ("Accompanante" Masculino con Glifo "C" en el Tocado) Height: 8". Color: Light gray ceramic with vestiges of white overwash. "Collected through the influence of Father Fisher, Private Secretary to Emperor Maximillian". Acquired by the Museum from Mary Wise of Lexington, Kentucky, by purchase in 1901. Epoch III-B of Monte Alban.
