Written on board: "35-10 / Gansu / Tibet [crossed out] / Gift of Harrison Forman / The Explorers Club / New York City / A snuff-horn. The snuff (imported / mainly from China) is used universally / in Tibet. It is kept in a yak horn, the / end of which is plugged. A bit is placed / upon the thumb nail and then carried to / the nose."
