Object Description
Navajo belt set from 1970s. Ranger belt set on a hand-tooled leather belt with a separate narrower attachment on the end of the belt to be fastened in the buckle. The set consists of a buckle, with seven nuggets of heavy-guage turquoise set in bezels on a cast base with silver balls between the stones. The two loops each have a turquoise nugget set on them, as does the tip. It also has some tooled applied sheet silver. Reverse is stamped with "H. IULE" (Horace Iule) (Bowers says it is "H. TULE"...), hallmark of Horace Iule.
Buckle is 7 cm long, 6 cm wide, 2.5 cm deep; overall belt length is 119 cm, including buckle.
