Object Description Bolo tie from 1980s. Very contemporary matte bolo of heavy cast silver. The trapezoidal shape has a pictoral design of Monument Valley with clouds in the background, and a stylized ceremonial Navajo head in the top foreground with inlaid turquoise eyes and coral mouth. From the center radiates lines from a small dot, perhaps the sun. Reverse is cast with an "R" encircled by a line from its tail, hallmark of Ric Charley. Makes set with 995-29-10/73147. 7.1 cm high, 4.8 cm wide, 1.2 cm deep; cord 116 cm total length. Hallmark identified in: Wright, Barton. Hallmarks of the Southwest.
