Descriptions
Object Description Coiled bowl-shaped basket with slightly flaring sides and rim curving inward. Foundation is sumac or willow stems, designs are of tree yucca, and rim design is of martynia pod. Natural background with main design consisting of eight stepped yellow and pale purple diamonds separated from each other by diagonal purple lines created by squares. Rim is finished in a regular stitch but overcast with black to produce "X"s.
