Object Description
Studio portraits of Native Americans taken during Trans-Mississippi and International Exposition hosted by the state of Nebraska in 1898. F. A. Rinehart was commissioned as the fair's official photographer. Tribal cultures represented include Apache, Chiricahua; Apache, Western, Arapaho, Assiboine, Blackfoot, Cheyenne, Crow,Iowa, Kiowa, Omaha, Oto, Potawatomi, Sélis, Ql̓ispé, Sioux, Santa Clara Pueblo, Ute, Wichita, and Winnebago.
