Object Description
Tapa cloth. Siapo mamanu with black, white and light tan(yellow?) design
Cloth is very fragile; not able to be measured due to deteriorated state.
Cloth appears to be one or two medium-weight layers. Overall design, free-hand painting in a matte yellow (turmeric?) dye/pigment and a resionous brown black. Linear pattern with triangles. There may be an underpainting in the black regions (matte reddish-brown).
