Object Description
Outrigger canoe about 10' long - painted white with designs in black +
(THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS OBTAINED DURING THE WATERCRAFT RESTORAGE PROJECT, 9/2000):
Outrigger carved from a single piece of wood. The exterior is painted white with simple geometric patterns and stripes painted in reddish and dark grey. The interior and the surface of the bottom of the hull is not painted. A pair of pegs or dowels extend outward through the top of each gunwale, amidships.
Accession # (40-12-70/1916) is written on the side of the hull at one end.
