Object Description Embroidered border(?): 1-1 plainweave brown cotton ground cloth covered with camelid stem stitch embroidery. Vertical rows of monkeys seated in kprofile, facing alternate left/right directions in repeated color sequence of green, yellow, dark blue on red ground. Small fillers around figures-animal and human forms. ALong one side is edged of cross knit looping with small knobs of yarn in alternate colors. "Fragment of an embroidered border--design of monkeys, alternately faced and small human and animal motifs. The monkeys are in gold, dark blue, light and dark green wool"
