Object Description
Headband(?) in two sections; shells arranged vertically in slightly overlapping rows, in alternating groupings of black and white to form checkerboard pattern. Shells strung on fine brown 1-ply cotton yarn, with one strand of heavier, softer, many-plied cotton yarn along each side of the two sections. Between each row of shells (and above the yarn stringing them together), length of heavier cotton yarn which loops around one edging yarn, tied with simple knot to opposite edging yarn with tails hanging loosely. At one end of each section, edging yarns and stringing yarns(?) braided
