Object Description
Three pieces of worn slit tapestry band are stitched together to make a longer band. Design: man frontal view alternating with profile feline(?). A couple of stitches secure bundle of green and yellow feathers across band (25 cm.) from one end; band is then rolled up with feathers at inside but sticking out at either side of roll. Warp ends cut, but turned back into web. Two weft selvages. Warp: brown cotton, (2z-plied). Weft: brown, tan, white, blue cotton, (s; z).
